Inside the project

Focus

How can problem solving move from an individual skill to a team capability?

The project for Zeki Mensucat, one of Türkiye's leading textile companies, focused on addressing a project / service need through structured problem-solving practices.

The account of this project was structured around the organization's own definition of its needs.

Led by Bora Kaykayoğlu, a comprehensive four-module development program was delivered for managers at Zeki Mensucat, one of Türkiye's leading textile companies.

There is no right solution to a wrongly defined problem. This is where problem-solving work begins.

Scope

We delivered a four-module development program for the organization’s managers. We explored communication, strategy, innovation and problem-solving through conceptual work and practical activities.

Implementation

HOW WAS STRUCTURED PROBLEM SOLVING USED IN THIS PROJECT?

Rather than rushing to solve a problem at first glance, we followed a process emphasizing root cause analysis and contradiction-based definition. Participants worked on their own operational problems.

Problem solving is not just a training topic but a practice that should be part of the organization's working culture.

The journey we designed

  1. 01EXPLOREA situation map was developed by considering the organization's real needs, current ways of working and external signals together.
  2. 02REFRAMEThe work was co-created with the organization’s teams throughout the project. Feedback informed the design at every stage.
  3. 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONThe resulting model was connected to the organization’s operations.

Kaykayoğlu project insight
