Why GEKariyer?

Choosing a profession is not an outcome, but a process of self-discovery.

Career choices should not be based solely on exam scores, popular professions or others’ expectations. A student’s interests, strengths, values and expectations for the future should be considered together.

GEKariyer helps students and their families navigate this process in a more informed, research-based and confident way.

We support you at different stages of your career journey.

Middle School Students

Students who want to explore their interests and strengths early.

High School Students

Young people seeking direction among study fields, majors, universities and career options.

University Students

Students who want to connect their education with career goals and plan for life after graduation.

Those Considering Study Abroad

Our Approach

We do not prescribe a profession. We help students find their own direction.

Every student is different. That is why we do not base our work on a single test result. We consider interests, personal values, strengths, skills, educational background and future expectations together.

The aim is not to tell students, “You should choose this profession.” It is to help them understand and compare their options and make their own informed decisions.

How does the process work?

We clarify career direction in five steps.

We follow five steps. Each builds on the outcome of the previous one, and students finish the journey with a concrete plan.

  1. 01

    Introduction

We hold an initial meeting to discuss the student's current situation, expectations, uncertainties and future goals.

  2. 02

    Self-Discovery

We explore interests, values, personality, skills and work preferences using a range of assessment tools.

  3. 03

    Exploring Options

We research fields of study, professions, sectors and alternative career paths relevant to the student's profile.

  4. 04

    Comparing Options

We assess potential paths against the student's expectations, educational circumstances, development needs and future goals.

  5. 05

    Roadmap

We create a personalized career plan covering priority options, necessary steps and areas for development.

Defining a career path

For families

Support your child’s decision without deciding for them.

Families play an important role in career choices. That role, however, is less about steering students toward a particular profession and more about helping them understand themselves, explore options and take responsibility.

GEKariyer meetings help families have more constructive career conversations with their children and consider education decisions from a broader perspective.

Families in this process

  • Gain a deeper understanding of their children's strengths.
  • Distinguish their expectations from the student's preferences.
  • Gain up-to-date information on education and career options.
  • Contribute to decisions without exerting pressure.
  • Clarify their roles in the agreed roadmap.

Scope of work

  • Country, university and program research
  • Preparing a school shortlist suited to the student's profile
  • Planning application requirements and timelines
  • Identifying exam and language requirements

Study abroad

Studying abroad requires defining the right goal before choosing a country.

We assess students’ academic background, interests, career goals, language proficiency, budget and lifestyle expectations together to research suitable countries, universities and programs.

We do not write application essays for students. We guide them in telling their own stories clearly, compellingly and authentically.

GEKARİYER is not a school or university selection service focused on entrance exam scores.

At the end of our work

Students have more than a recommendation. They have evaluated options.

At the end of our work, the following outputs are prepared according to the student’s age and needs.

01

Summary of personal tendencies and strengths

Findings from interviews and assessment tools are brought together in a single summary. The student gains a clear view of their interests, strengths and work preferences. This summary provides a shared foundation for all subsequent decisions.

Bir Hedefim Var Türkiye

We do not leave young people’s futures to chance.

“Bir Hedefim Var Türkiye” is the GEKariyer approach that supports young people in understanding themselves, exploring future professions and planning their education around a meaningful goal.

Rather than giving young people ready-made answers, we guide them to ask the right questions, explore their options and take responsibility for their own paths.
