Basic TRIZ Training and Problem-Solving Workshop
Two days of generative AI-supported Basic TRIZ training for Rollmech's design and analysis teams. Participants applied TRIZ tools to real Rollmech problems, including locking system and hinge design.

Inside the project
Focus
How can design teams resolve conflicting requirements without compromise?
Rollmech wanted its teams to solve problems faster and more creatively in new product development processes.
The training was designed to combine TRIZ's systematic problem-solving approach with generative AI support, offering teams a method they could use directly in their work.
Good design begins by resolving contradictions rather than avoiding them.
Scope
We held a two-day generative AI-supported Basic TRIZ training with design and analysis teams. Together with the participants, we applied TRIZ tools directly to real product problems such as latch mechanisms and hinge designs.
Implementation
Rollmech problems in every section
Each TRIZ tool was explored through examples from Rollmech's own design and analysis problems. Groups of five worked on cases such as the durability–weight contradiction in locking system design and the durability–cost contradiction in hinge design. The connection between finite element analysis and TRIZ was also examined.
The journey we designed
- 01EXPLOREThe teams' existing problem-solving methods and the contradictions they encountered in design processes were examined.
- 02REFRAMEDesign problems were reframed as TRIZ problems that could be advanced by resolving contradictions rather than compromising on a feature.
- 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONBy applying TRIZ tools to real Rollmech cases, the groups gained problem-solving practice they could use in their own projects.
Kaykayoğlu project insight
The strongest engineering solutions eliminate contradictions rather than accept them.
