RA, DOE and TM Training
The “Regression Analysis, Design of Experiments and Taguchi Method” training delivered by Prof. Dr. C. Ruhi Kaykayoğlu on 3-4 July 2025 introduced participants to advanced statistical methods used in data analysis, process optimization and quality improvement work. During the training, participants had the opportunity to explore through practical examples: - Regression Analysis (RA): Techniques for modeling relationships between variables and making predictions, - Design of Experiments (DOE): Systematic experimental planning methods to improve product and process performance, - Taguchi Method (TM): A robust design approach to improve quality while reducing costs in production and service processes.

Inside the project
Focus
How can teams solve complex problems using a shared language and method?
This project focused on addressing training needs through structured problem-solving practices.
Problem-solving capacity comes not from individual intelligence but from establishing a shared method through repetition. This project established that method.
Need, problemi doğru tanımlamayı sistematik bir beceri haline getirmekti.
Scope
We worked with participants through practical examples of modeling relationships between variables and making predictions using regression analysis, alongside systematic experimental planning using design of experiments. We also covered the Taguchi method's robust design approach to improving quality and reducing costs in production and service processes.
Implementation
HOW WAS STRUCTURED PROBLEM SOLVING USED IN THIS PROJECT?
Rather than rushing to solve a problem at first glance, we followed a process emphasizing root cause analysis and contradiction-based definition. Participants worked on their own operational problems.
Strong teams are not those that answer fastest but those that can ask the right question.
The journey we designed
- 01EXPLOREA situation map was developed by considering the organization's real needs, current ways of working and external signals together.
- 02REFRAMEParticipants practiced creative problem solving and application through their own real work problems.
- 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONA follow-through plan was developed with teams to connect the methods learned to daily workflows.
