Inside the project
Focus
How can R&D teams turn technical knowledge into value-added products?
The TÜBİTAK project focused on addressing the organization’s training needs through R&D management.
Technology investments remain on paper unless they become ways of working. This project aimed to enable that transformation.
The R&D teams had strong technical expertise. They needed a management system that connected this expertise to a technology roadmap and products.
Scope
We brought together the institution’s managers and teams for R&D management training. We worked with them on R&D management during the programme.
Implementation
HOW WAS TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT POSITIONED IN THIS PROJECT?
We treated technology management not as inventory keeping but as a decision-making system connecting technology to business value. The roadmap was built using the teams' own data.
A strong R&D center does not just produce technology, but connects it to the organization’s future.
The journey we designed
- 01EXPLOREA situation map was developed by considering the organization's real needs, current ways of working and external signals together.
- 02REFRAMEParticipants practiced creative problem solving and application through their own real work problems.
- 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONA follow-through plan was developed with teams to connect the methods learned to daily workflows.
Kaykayoğlu project insight
R&D is a capability, not a resource. When managed, it creates value. When unmanaged, it remains a cost.
