Analytical Thinking Techniques
Delivered by Prof. Dr. C. Ruhi Kaykayoğlu on 10 January 2025, the “Analytical Thinking Techniques” training offered a structure that went beyond breaking complex problems into parts to question the depth of thinking processes. Being analytical means not just producing solutions, but being able to reshape thinking.

Inside the project
Focus
How can problem solving move from an individual skill to a team capability?
This project focused on addressing training needs through structured problem-solving practices.
The account of this project was structured around the organization's own definition of its needs.
The “Analytical Thinking Techniques” training delivered by Ruhi Kaykayoğlu offered a structure that went beyond breaking complex problems into parts to question the depth of thinking processes.
There is no right solution to a wrongly defined problem. This is where problem-solving work begins.
Scope
We worked with participants on analytical thinking techniques and breaking down complex problems. Alongside problem-solving, we explored questioning thought processes and reconsidering ways of thinking.
Implementation
HOW WAS STRUCTURED PROBLEM SOLVING USED IN THIS PROJECT?
Rather than rushing to solve a problem at first glance, we followed a process emphasizing root cause analysis and contradiction-based definition. Participants worked on their own operational problems.
Problem solving is not just a training topic but a practice that should be part of the organization's working culture.
The journey we designed
- 01EXPLOREA situation map was developed by considering the organization's real needs, current ways of working and external signals together.
- 02REFRAMEParticipants practiced creative problem solving and application through their own real work problems.
- 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONA follow-through plan was developed with teams to connect the methods learned to daily workflows.
Kaykayoğlu project insight
