Generative AI in Production Processes The program at Mercedes-Benz Türk was delivered to 10 separate groups over a total of 20 days between September 2025 and December 2025, with approximately 150 foremen attending. It was designed to help foremen working in production directly connect Generative AI with operational applications on the shop floor. The training program was developed and delivered by Y. Bora Kaykayoğlu. All content was structured around real operational needs and examples to demonstrate how Generative AI can be used as a decision-support and problem-solving tool in production environments. Throughout the program, participants explored how Generative AI could be applied to production line management, seat production, paint shop, finishing and quality processes, maintenance activities and everyday problem solving. Training and workshops were held at Mercedes-Benz's production locations as follows: 12 days at the Mercedes-Benz Türk Bus Factory in İstanbul and 8 days at the Mercedes-Benz Türk Truck Factory in Aksaray. This comprehensive process aimed to build foremen's awareness of Generative AI, help them use the technology with the right questions and context in their areas of responsibility, and develop a perspective that would contribute directly to production processes.
