İstanbul Sanayi Odası / Project Story

İSO Innovation Ambassadors

In the İSO Innovation Ambassadors Program, we focused on developing external participants. Using Double Diamond, we brought idea development and implementation together in a working framework they could take back to their own companies and networks.

01 — What did the organization need?

İSO Innovation Ambassadors was not an internal training program for İSO employees. We came together with external participants to develop their innovation competencies.

We focused on a thinking and working framework each participant could bring to their own company and wider environment. The program centered on these individuals’ development, not İSO’s internal operations.

02

02 — What change brought this need to light?

The program aimed to ensure innovation knowledge did not remain an individual gain. It addressed the transition from individual learning to an ambassador approach that could be carried into companies and the wider environment. This is the program’s intended development direction and is not described as İSO’s internal transformation.

03

03 — Which questions did we explore?

How can external participants bring the innovation process into their own work environments? How can an ambassador role be established to support the development and implementation of creative ideas?

04

04 — What process did we undertake together?

The Developing Innovation Ambassadors and Strengthening Innovation Culture Program was built around the Double Diamond methodology.

In the program delivered by Prof. Dr. C. Ruhi Kaykayoğlu and Y. Bora Kaykayoğlu, ambassadors actively participated in the innovation process. Developing creative ideas and supporting their implementation were addressed together.

05

05 — What did teams start doing differently?

By participating in the innovation process, ambassadors emphasized the importance of developing creative ideas and supporting their implementation. In this work, ideation was only one part of the ambassador role.

06

06 — What emerged at the end of the project?

The completed program and the Double Diamond framework experienced by the ambassadors. The aim of inspiring companies and the wider environment remained central to the ambassador approach established by the program.

07

07 — What did we learn from this project?

Being an ambassador here was not limited to knowing about innovation. Participating in an idea’s development and supporting its implementation were treated as two parts of the same role.
