01 — What did the organization need?

The Esan Innovation Ambassadors Program needed a working framework in which ambassadors could combine human-centered and systematic methods. The processes we developed to help teams think in more human-centered, creative and innovative ways were incorporated into the ambassadors’ working framework.

02

02 — What change brought this need to light?

The program’s goal extended beyond a training group. Spreading a culture of innovation among employees and stakeholders required strengthening ambassadors’ mindsets, toolsets and skill sets together.

03

03 — Which questions did we explore?

How can ambassadors address contradictions in problem-solving as they develop new ideas? How can human-centered thinking and systematic methods come together in one program?

04

04 — What process did we undertake together?

The one-and-a-half-month program was built around the Double Diamond methodology. TRIZ, creative thinking and personality inventories were explored within this structure.

We adapted human-centered processes to Double Diamond. Developing new ideas and solving problems through contradictions were not left as disconnected training topics.

05

05 — What did teams start doing differently?

We established a working framework for ambassadors that brought together TRIZ, creative thinking and personality inventories. These methods were included in the program to support exploring new ideas alongside contradictions within problems.

06

06 — What emerged at the end of the project?

Human-centered processes and a set of methods for ambassadors, brought together around Double Diamond. The program aimed to use this framework to spread a culture of innovation among employees and stakeholders.

We do not confuse this aim with any subsequent impact within the organization. The evidence behind this story is the scope of the one-and-a-half-month program and the methods it brought together.

07

07 — What did we learn from this project?

In the Esan project, creativity and systematic problem-solving became part of the same journey. The ambassador approach was based not just on learning a method, but on considering people and problems together.
