Inside the project
Focus
How do you develop an innovation concept strong enough to enter a strategic portfolio?
, had identified five strategic innovation areas during the Innovation Lab process. AI-Ideation Day was designed to develop high-impact ideas in these areas that would contribute in the years ahead.
Success is measured not by the number of ideas generated, but by each group's It was defined by the development of a strong concept that could contribute to the strategic innovation portfolio.
Selecting a good idea is as important as generating ideas.
Scope
We held an AI-assisted ideation program with five different teams across five previously identified strategic innovation areas. Working together with the teams, we developed presentation-ready innovation concepts by the end of the program.
Implementation
Idea selection with Innovation Scale
Ideas generated, assessed against criteria of field needs, customer and business value, level of innovation, feasibility, scalability and uniqueness It was assessed out of a maximum of 18 points using the Innovation Scale prepared for it. The highest-scoring idea was developed into a concept, and each team prepared a structured seven-slide pitch.
The journey we designed
- 01EXPLOREEach area's sponsor shared the domain, business problem, strategic importance and expectations, but did not propose a solution. Teams started with the same information.
- 02REFRAMEThe broad domain was narrowed to a single challenge statement by discussing current problems and assumptions that could be changed.
- 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONSelected concepts were presented as a foundation for validation, business model development, investment assessment and pilot work in the Innovation Accelerator process.
