Problem-Solving Techniques in Innovation
The 'Problem-Solving Techniques in Innovation program held at Kastamonu Entegre on 29 May 2024 aimed to develop creative and effective solutions by providing participants with practical tools and approaches to address complex problems encountered in innovation processes. Some problem-solving techniques covered in the training delivered by Prof. Dr. C. Ruhi Kaykayoğlu: 1. TRIZ (Teoriya Resheniya Izobretatelskikh Zadatch): Developed for systematic innovation and problem-solving, this theory encourages creative solutions through specific patterns and principles. 2. Root Cause Analysis: A structured approach to identifying the underlying causes of a problem, this technique aims to produce lasting solutions.

Inside the project
Focus
How can teams solve complex problems using a shared language and method?
The Kastamonu Entegre project focused on addressing a training need through structured problem-solving practices.
Problem-solving capacity comes not from individual intelligence but from establishing a shared method through repetition. This project established that method.
Need, problemi doğru tanımlamayı sistematik bir beceri haline getirmekti.
Scope
We worked with participants from the organization on tools and approaches for addressing complex problems in innovation processes. We explored the systematic problem-solving principles of TRIZ and Root Cause Analysis as a method for identifying the underlying causes of problems.
Implementation
HOW WAS STRUCTURED PROBLEM SOLVING USED IN THIS PROJECT?
Rather than rushing to solve a problem at first glance, we followed a process emphasizing root cause analysis and contradiction-based definition. Participants worked on their own operational problems.
Strong teams are not those that answer fastest but those that can ask the right question.
The journey we designed
- 01EXPLOREA situation map was developed by considering the organization's real needs, current ways of working and external signals together.
- 02REFRAMEParticipants practiced creative problem solving and application through their own real work problems.
- 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONA follow-through plan was developed with teams to connect the methods learned to daily workflows.
