From Idea to Project with GenAI
In the “From Idea to Project with GenAI” training and workshop held for 4 groups in May, June and July 2025, participants transformed their ideas into projects step by step, using generative AI as a strategic tool. Guided by Y. Bora Kaykayoğlu, teams explored creative thinking methods such as SCAMPER, Biomimicry and Double Diamond, and structured their business ideas through the Business Model Canvas with GenAI support. The resulting projects were presented not only as actionable solutions, but also as approaches aligned with TOFAŞ's strategic GenAI planning.

Inside the project
Focus
How can AI become an organizational capability without diminishing human creativity?
The TOFAŞ project focused on connecting training and workshop needs with technology. The organization wanted not just to purchase new tools, but to embed them in the way its teams work.
The account of this project was structured around the organization's own definition of its needs.
Technology becomes useful not when its use cases are listed, but when teams test it against their own problems.
Scope
We worked with participants across four groups on developing ideas into projects using generative AI. We explored SCAMPER, biomimicry and Double Diamond, and structured business ideas on the Business Model Canvas with GenAI support. We also considered the projects in relation to the organization’s strategic GenAI planning.
Implementation
WHAT ROLE DID GENAI PLAY IN THIS PROJECT?
GenAI was positioned not as a tool that produces ready-made answers, but as a working partner that helps teams address their own problems through stronger questions. Every example was drawn from a real business context.
What brings technology into an organization is not the tool itself, but teams’ ability to engage with it through their own problems.
The journey we designed
- 01EXPLOREA situation map was developed by considering the organization's real needs, current ways of working and external signals together.
- 02REFRAMEDuring the training and workshop sections, participants practiced on their own problems.
- 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONA follow-through plan was created to connect new ways of thinking to the organization's workflows.
Kaykayoğlu project insight
The value of new tools begins not when they are purchased, but when people use them to ask stronger questions.
