How can an R&D center move from a cost center to a value-creating system?
This project focused on addressing the organization’s project / service needs through R&D management.
The account of this project was structured around the organization's own definition of its needs.
We are interested in an R&D system that includes human-centered processes and technological convergence.
The value of R&D is measured not by the number of reports it produces but by its contribution to decisions that change the business world.
Scope
We worked on an R&D system incorporating human-centred approaches and technological convergence at a synthetic leather R&D centre. We addressed sector-specific work informed by forecasts for the future of synthetic leather, along with working methods aimed at developing R&D capabilities.
Implementation
HOW WAS TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT POSITIONED IN THIS PROJECT?
We treated technology management not as inventory keeping but as a decision-making system connecting technology to business value. The roadmap was built using the teams' own data.
R&D management is not about tracking projects but about building a bridge between technology and the market.
