It aims to strengthen ambassadors' "mindsets, toolsets and skillsets" to develop new ideas, solve problems through contradictions and increase innovation in the sector in line with the Double Diamond methodology, while spreading an innovation culture among employees and stakeholders.

Inside the project

Focus

How can ideas be turned into value-added products and services?

The Esan project focused on strengthening innovation ambassadors' creative thinking and problem-solving skills through the Double Diamond methodology, TRIZ and creative thinking exercises.

Added value begins with identifying a gap in the market. It is completed through a process that connects the idea with the customer.

For the 1.5-month "Esan Innovation Ambassadors Program," Kaykayoglu Innovation Group adapted its processes for helping teams think in more human-centered, creative and innovative ways to the “Double Diamond Methodology.”

What was usually missing in new product development was not ideas, but a shared system for evaluating and developing them.

Scope

We worked with the organization’s innovation ambassadors on TRIZ, creative thinking and personality inventories during a month-and-a-half program. We adapted processes for human-centered, creative and innovative thinking to the Double Diamond methodology. Within this framework, we addressed idea development and problem-solving through contradictions.

Implementation

HOW WAS THE INNOVATION PROCESS DESIGNED IN THIS PROJECT?

We designed the innovation process not as an awards ceremony, but as a value stream in which ideas are selected and developed. At every stage, teams worked with their own market data.

Innovation is not the job of a single department. It is the result of how an organization learns and makes decisions.

The journey we designed

  1. 01EXPLOREA situation map was developed by considering the organization's real needs, current ways of working and external signals together.
  2. 02REFRAMEA comprehensive situation analysis was conducted using field data, sector signals and internal perspectives.
  3. 03BRING IT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONThe findings were translated into a strategic framework the organization could use to make decisions.
